G20 Toronto 2010
I had a very interesting weekend covering the G20 in Toronto. I photographed the protest for seven hours on Saturday before being arrested at Queens Park and charged with unlawful gathering and obstructing a police officer.
I cannot elaborate on to much on situation of my arrest, the matter is still in the courts. But here is a story explaining a bit more about the ordeal-

These photographs are from the chaos on Saturday. I am currently missing the majority of my memory cards (for various reasons.) This is not a representation of the weekend as a whole, these are just my images that I have access to at this time.

Yea Brett! HOpe to see the other ones at somepoint.

I watched this in horror, we have never seen anything like this in this country. I appreciate that you didn’t refer to these people as demonstrators, they are nothing more than common criminals. Nice shots you have here and I hope you get the balance of your memory cards back.
I can’t believe that they hit Zanzibar. I’ll just leave it at that.

Wow what a crazy situation to find yourself in. I feel for you and I can’t believe that doing your job has landed you in trouble. If a society limits its story tellers and documentarian’s what’s next? All the best to you and I hope you get your gear back in one piece.
