2009 Contact Photography Festival Exhibition Info

This is a project that I have been working on in Toronto. It revolves around a small apartment in Toronto that houses a community of Krump dancers.
Krump dancing is a raw, primitive cousin of Break Dancing. It was created in the hoods of Los Angles by youth looking for an alternative to joining a gang. Today it has spread world wide, but still has the same roots.

View a video I shot of it - here.
The show is taking place at the Street Dance Acadmey- 160 Spadina Ave. http://streetdanceacademy.com/
The gallery hours are –
Monday-Thursday- 4 to 9 pm
Friday- 4 to 8 pm
Sunday- 11 am to 3 pm
The closing party will be May 29, 9 to 11 pm. The catered event will a dance performance from Northbuck Dance crew, and is open to the public.
